At 4:30 PM, the Garanduwa Lagoon begins its most spectacular daily transformation. The harsh midday light softens into something warm and directional — every ripple, every mangrove root, every kingfisher feather catches the gold. Your destination: a secluded natural outcrop that's only reachable by kayak, completely invisible from the main lagoon. No other boats. No other people. Just the two of you, a breathtaking sky, and a picnic that took us years to perfect.
