The Sanctuary

Into the Mangroves

The Garandu Ganga is a delicate, ancient ecosystem. You aren't just following a route; you are drifting through a thriving, self-sustaining sanctuary of life, water, and silence.

A Delicate Balance

The Mangrove Roots

Acting as the lungs and kidneys of the lagoon, the dense, tangled root systems of the mangroves naturally filter the water and provide a critical, sheltered nursery for young marine life.

The Glass Surface

Protected from ocean winds, the lagoon's surface often becomes perfectly still. This creates a mirror-like illusion, blending the sky and the water into a single, breathtaking canvas.

The Avian Canopy

Above the water, the overarching branches create natural corridors. These shaded tunnels are the domain of Kingfishers, Eagles, and hundreds of Indian Flying Foxes taking refuge from the sun.
